Welcome Shipmates and Visitors
USS Magoffin APA-199 Veterans Association

This web page is dedicated to the USS Magoffin APA-199 and the vets who manned her.
1944-1946 / 1948-1968

The cover photo is the earliest we have of the Magoffin. This was taken during her shake down cruise in 1944. She is in Pacific Camo paint. Thanks to D.L. Henry, who was a member of the commissioning crew.

The Winter 2015 issue of the Magoffin Messenger is available (as well as all of the back issues) Click Here

Be sure to read this issue it has all of the information about the April, 2015 Reunion in Mobile, Alabama. You don't want to miss this one.

Get to see the first photographs from the 2013 Boston Reunion. Here are photos from both Clyde Alexander and Mike Stein - Click Here

Do you believe you were affected by Agent Orange while aboard the Magoffin? Thanks to the efforts of Richard Wood, BM2 the Magoffin is now on the Roster of "Agent Orange Alphabetized Ships List" on the US Department of Veterans Affairs website. http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/agentorange/shiplist/list.asp#M

This listing should make a claim much easier to process through the VA.

Thanks to Richard for his hard work to get this accomplished.
